Baseline Angiography

Baseline angiography of LM.

Baseline HD IVUS

Baseline HD IVUS of LM performed at 2.5 mm/sec pullback speed. HD IVUS reveals a mildly calcified LM between Circumflex (CX) and Ramus. This was followed by two balloon dilations.

Pre-PCI Angiography (1)

1st  pre-PCI balloon dilation using 3.5 mm x 12.0 mm  NC Emerge™ PTCA Dilation Catheter1 at 8 ATM

Pre-PCI HD IVUS (1)

HD IVUS measurements after the 1st  pre-PCI balloon dilation using NC Emerge™ PTCA Dilation Catheter1 – MLA: 3.951 mm2

Pre-PCI Angiography (2)

2nd pre-PCI balloon dilation using Chocolate® PTA Balloon Catheter2 3.5 mm x 10.0 mm balloon at 12 ATM

Pre-PCI HD IVUS (2)

HD IVUS measurements after the 2nd Pre-PCI balloon dilation using Chocolate® PTA Balloon Catheter2 – MLA: 5.16 mm2

Post-PCI Angiography

LM is stented using 4.0 mm x 12.0 mm Promus PREMIER™Everolimus-Eluting Platinum Chromium Coronary Stent3. This was followed by balloon dilation using 4.5 mm NC Emerge™ PTCA Dilation Catheter2 at 14 ATM.

Post-PCI HD IVUS

Post-PCI HD IVUS

Conclusion

HD IVUS helped with sizing of LM and revealed the success of balloon dilation facilitating an optimal PCI result
